Everything (Slightly) Older is Newer!
By Tiffany Grizzle

Want to give your wardrobe a face lift without needing anesthesia for your wallet?

This prescription is easily filled at Parker’s newest upscale resale boutique, Chic Repeats.

In the age of bargain hunting, this store is a real treasure for shoppers looking for great merchandise at a great price; not to mention those of us who may have more than a few beloved items that just aren’t ever going to fit again. With the economy in the less than stellar state it’s in, everyone is looking for ways to make their dollars stretch and spend wisely. Stores like Chic Repeats are such a great boost for everyone. Sellers, buyers and the business owner all benefit. You can sell items that are in great condition but are stuck in the "never worn" section of your closet and make a little cash. You can shop for new additions to your own wardrobe and save a lot of cash and a local business owner keeps chugging along.

Gone are the days when shopping resale meant you were looking for a circa 70’s era costume for the office Halloween party. Today, smart shoppers know that hitting upscale resale, like Chic Repeats, is an economical way to spice up your closet or spruce up your home decor.

Who hasn’t had a friend say, "I’m never going to use this purse/jacket/fabulous pair of shoes, I should just get rid of them." To which we reply hastily, "Don’t get rid of it! I’ll buy it from you!"

Well, ladies of Parker, we have a new girlfriend to get great swag from, and her name is Chic Repeats.

Chic Repeats sells designer/mall name brand clothes, shoes and purses for teens and women as well as a limited offering of home decor and furniture.

Their policy is simple. Bring in your items to sell, no appointment necessary and no limit to the number of items you bring each visit. Who wouldn’t want to get paid to clean out their closets?

As a consigner, you’ll be assigned an account number and be paid once a month for any items sold.

Chic Repeats offers their consigners a 50/50 split on profit.

If you’ve visited the store since it opened in October, you should definitely give it another look, as the new owner, Lori Neira, has made quite a few improvements in just a short time.

Whether you’re looking for unique pieces to decorate your home, or a few designer names to decorate your wardrobe, why not skip combing the sale racks at the mall and head to a store full of sales everyday?

Just remember, one woman’s "last season’s" Coach handbag is another woman’s "Happy Valentine’s Day to me" gift. ◊

Shop M-F 10-7, Sat. 10-5 and Sun. 11-4 or you can schedule a private shopping party after hours by appointment.

Call Lori at 303-766-SHOP (7467) or visit www.chicrepeats.net.

Chic Repeats is located at 17914 Cottonwood Drive, on the southwest corner of Parker Rd. and Cottonwood Dr., next to the DMV.
