It is no secret that we are all experiencing a tighter budget
these days. We are thinking of how we can stretch our funds, yet still enjoy our
family time and homes.
Perhaps your family is dining out less or having less family
outings and your redecorating has been placed on hold. Here are a few helpful
ideas as to how you can change the look you have to the look you want with very
inexpensive, yet simple changes.
To begin, one of the easiest and least expensive changes that
can be made is paint. New color can change the entire look of your home. Have
you perhaps been living with those off-white walls for too long? Adding color
will not only warm up your home, but also give it a whole new look. Do not be
afraid o f color. If you make a mistake it is very easy to change. Your
investment will be the cost of paint and your time. Man hours cost you nothing.
Paint stores now have paint in small bottles to bring home. Paint will change
tones from the store to your home. It is important to purchase several of your
paint choices and then paint the wall that is most exposed to morning and
evening natural light for paint tones will change throughout the day. Then,
perhaps, you could encourage a friend to help in exchange for a great lunch. A
day with a dear friend is always a wonderful time.
Then, a rearrangement of the room can always change the look of
any home. Taking the furniture away from the walls and floating it to the center
always makes a cozy conversation spot. Furniture does not need to be placed only
against a wall. Sofas and chairs are upholstered on all sides, not just the
front.
