A Christmas Story

One of the special, and sometimes emotional, holiday traditions that we have at our house is reading a Christmas story together each night. I usually read to my family during dinner time – and I almost always begin to tear up at a touching part of the story. My kids will tease me about it and sometimes they will take over reading for me. My husband assures me that he loves my tender heart. My youngest will bring me a tissue - or the whole box. Even though I end up in tears from crying (or laughing at myself), it is a meaningful way to remember this special season and be inspired by the stories of renewed perspective, faith, service, and love.

What Christmas stories do you love? One of my favorites is A Christmas Dress for Ellen, retold by Thomas S. Monson.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! May your family experience peace and joy at this beautiful time of year!
