Taking Time

One night several weeks ago I was working on my computer - trying to finish off my list for the day. I had told my 13-year old son he could start a fire in the backyard firepit. My husband reminded me he was out there and suggested I go out to join him.

With several things left to finish and a chill in the air, I decided I would go out for a quick minute. While I sat and stared into the mesmerizing fire, I finally stopped for the day to remember where my focus should be. I enjoyed some purposeful time and conversation with my son. It was exactly what I needed to prompt increased perspective and a lovely moment of relaxation...

I was grateful for that reminder to stop and take the time for what matters most!
